kookie, lend me your comb!

a hit from 1959 and the TV series '77 Sunset Strip.
This is Edd Byrnes, as hair-combing, parking lot attendant
Gerald Lloyd Kookson III ("Kookie"), with Connie Stevens.

Still only one comment, hm?! Well I was so impressed I ordered the cd. Must've played it 15-20 times already (the song, the cd's on its way).

Then of course I think "kook" is possibly the funniest word in English, because in my language it means something entirely!! different. But that's just a footnote.

Thanks for your comments - if one person has enjoyed it as much as you, it was worth it!
"ginchiest" was apparently made up by this guy, I assume it means "cutest" or "grooviest".
Didn't know this was on CD 'til I put this up, I've ordered it too. I have one other track by Edd Byrnes "Like, I Love You"- equally brilliant!
So tell me, I must know what "kook" means in your language?

I'm afraid it's not the prettiest of words the Norwegian sound equivalent of kook. The English "oo" is in Norwegian "u." And there's the word "kuk" in Norwegian which means "cock/dick." Like I said, not so nice. Still when the woman goes - insistently I might add - "kookie, kookie..." etc... well what can a guy do?

I laugh and swing my hips (to the tune). Sure do :)

(PS! I have the "Like I love you" as well, found it after I heard "Kookie"... and then I bought the cd!:)
